These workshops are meant to provide community support and accountability that can help us get through our to-do lists, especially those tasks that feel overwhelming to do and/or those things that we’ve been avoiding.
What is body doubling?
Body doubling is the method of having another person in the room with you while you attempt to accomplish a task. The idea behind its effectiveness is that having a person nearby while you do a task can help increase your motivation while being perceived.
What can I do during this time?
You can really do anything during these sessions: cleaning, organizing, making phone calls, sending emails, making steps in a larger project. I recommend doing the thing that feels really hard for you to get done right now. Is there something you’ve been putting off or avoiding, doing that task during this time is a great idea!
How will you support me?
At the beginning of each session, everyone will do a check in to share what they are planning on working on during our body doubling session.
I’ll be available to do short one on one check-ins in a breakout room for anyone who needs help troubleshooting a problem or would like to talk through a larger project.
When we get closer to the end of our time together, we’ll do a final check in and wrap up. This will be to share what you were able to accomplish today and to make sure you have time to close out what you were doing to move on to something else or set yourself up to keep going!
Cost: $60 for 2-hours
These workshops are limited to 5 attendees. Pre-registration required.
